WaterMota signs deal with Hyundai

By IBI Magazine

Engine and generator specialist WaterMota Ltd has been made an exclusive distributor of Hyundai Seasall diesel engines in the UK.

Based in Newton Abbot, South Devon, WaterMota is primarily known for supplying engines for workboats and commercial craft. The company is now looking to "return to its roots" by increasing its presence in the leisure marine market, and is looking for suitable dealers to sell the engines throughout the UK.

"Hyundai is a very well known and respected name," says a WaterMota spokesman. "The company has recently moved into the marine sector — Hyundai Seasall is a dedicated marine division of Hyundai Kia Motor Corporation — and has produced a very good quality engine with an attractive price tag."

WaterMota says that the engines are already proving popular in the UK, with two units sold just days after the distributor agreement was signed. The first two models were an in-line four cylinder 2.2 litre and a V6 CRDI 3.0 litre diesel engine.
