WhisperPower hires UK area manager

WhisperPower, a Dutch manufacturer of diesel generators, has appointed David Melville as area manager for the UK and Ireland.
Melville started his career in the marine industry more than 25 years ago as a sales manager of magnetic compasses. He also served as co-director and general manager of Fischer Marine Ltd, a UK importer and distributor of German marine generators.
In 1994 Melville launched his own business with own-branded diesel generators, as well as representing various brands in the UK including CLD air-conditioning, Sea Recovery Watermakers and Mastervolt.
For the last five years, Melville has served as technical sales manager of Mastervolt UK Ltd, where he specialised in complete auxiliary electrical power systems for maritime, mobile and off-grid applications.
WhisperPower is located in the northern Dutch province of Friesland, where it has premises in Drachten for development, assembly and logistics. Since its formation in July 2007, the company has generated sales of around €14m.
